Coal including minerals and classified nonmetalliferous strategic, coal mining techniques generally implemented through the open pit and underground mining. Open pit mining process enormous potential to change the landscape and cause a variety of potential pollution and declining water quality.Some environmental impacts that may occur around the coal mine areas which contain the damage biodiversity, habitat degradation, land use change and puddling or river depth of potential flooding.Settling Pond Wara SP-2 has a capacity of 2,622,171 m3 capacity, consisting of four pools (safety pond) is capable of accommodating up to Q1000 yr flood discharge.The capacity of the settling pond treatments are of 12,600 m3 / h, so that in the event of a flood with a return period Q1000 th plus discharge of PIT and normal flow in the amount of 78412.66 m3 can ditreatmen for 6.25 hours.
