This
study aims to determine the motivation and the factors that influence students
going to Pondok Pesantren Darul Hijrah Putra (Male Boarding School) at Cindai
Alus, Martapura. This form of research is field study, in which researchers
collect data directly from the field. The method used in this research is the
method of induction which took specific data in the field that will be taken in
general conclusions. Data which extracted were the motivation of students and
the factors that influenced, sourced
from students who have been assigned as the sample in this study. The results
obtained in this study were: that the students inside the Pondok Pesantren
Darul Hijrah Putra (male boarding school) is motivated by a desire to improve
the actual self of students themselves, a desire for the happiness of both
parents, by obeying their wishes go to boarding school and a desire to channel
the interests and talents. Factors that influence student motivation is
influenced by the religious awareness of students and the background of
students enrolled in previous school which also based on religion. In addition
to the external factors that influence is quality, amenities, facilities and
infrastructure Pondok Pesantren Darul Hijrah (Male Boarding School) are
considered very adequate.
