Boiler ash is a solid waste palm oil mills result from combustion shell and fiber in the boiler machine.
In general, any less palm oil mill utilizing solid waste. Boiler ash contains many nutrients that are beneficial
and can be applied to tomato plants as a fertilizer supplement or replace inorganic fertilizers.The purpose of the
study (1) get the boiler ash effect on growth and yield of tomatoes, (2) obtain the optimal dose of boiler ash
when applied to multiple media. This research was conducted in the city of Palangkaraya. This study used a
completely randomized design (CRD) factorial 2 factors. The first factor is the dose level Abu boiler with 5
treatments, The second factor is the type of media with 3 levels of treatment (land of Sand, soil and soil Peat).
The results showed interaction boiler ash treatment and plant media very significant effect on the variable shoot
dry weight, and the weight of the fruit, but did not significantly affect root dry weight, fruit diameter and number
of fruit. Combination boiler ash treatment dose of 15 tons / ha on peat land (b4t3 treatment) yielded significant
results to variables shoot dry weight, and the weight of the amount of fruit.
