The teacher is one of the professions engaged in service activities that are vulnerable to the occurrence of burnout. For teachers who are experiencing burnout will impact the decline in jobs such as absenteeism, tendency to ignore the job and turnover. This study aims to examine several factors: organizational culture, self-efficacy and proactive coping strategy against the occurrence of burnout in high school teacher in Palangkaraya. The sample in this study were 80 high school teachers in Palangkaraya. The data were obtained through question-naires. The instrument used to obtain data is burnout scale, the scale of organi-zational culture, self-efficacy scale and the scale of proactive coping strategies that have been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that organi-zational culture and proactive coping strategies have a negative effect but not significant. Only self efficacy that has a negative and significant influence on the occurrence of burnout in high school teacher in Palangkaraya. These results prove that self-efficacy is known to be a predictor for the occurrence of burnout.
