This research aim to know influence of applying submicroscopic animation media for student representation ability specially on the buffer topic. This research is a quasy experimental research. Submicroscopic animation media effectiveness test of student representation ability conducted at field test using nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Submicroscopic Animation media which utilized previously have been developed at buffer topic of earlier research. Study of buffer topic in experiment class use submicroscopic animation media while in control class without submicroscopic animation media. Data of both class analysed using t-test (uji-t) and normalized gain skor (N-Gain). T-test of student representation ability yield value of significant equal to 0,0015 at level of 95% meaning that the student ability in experimental class higher than control class. Mean of N-Gain student representation ability of experimental class is 70,40% (high), and control class which obtain 59,18% (medium). Result of this research indicate that submicroscopic animation media can improve ability of student representation positively.
