This study aims to know contribution of the explain the material of
learning abilityning and teaching experince of high school maths teaching in order
to teaching learning process actively. The populusion of this study is all high school
maths teachers of SMA 2, 6, and 9 in north Balikpapan to callect the subject by
using random sample, there are 14 teachers. To collect the data, by using
questionere and to analysis the data by using discription, correlation regresion
analysis, statistic test used F and t. Significant is = 5%. The result of this study
states: Contribution of teaching experience on the asking skill is 2,102% and it
states no significant on = 5%. While the ability of the teachers in teaching the
material has contribution 57,6% and significant is = 5%. This means that
correlation of teaching experience on ability of teaching the material is r = 0,842
and correlation of explaining ability material on the asking skill is r = 0,759 while
correlation of teaching experience on the asking skill is r = 0,846 and significant is
= 5%. The correlation model of linier between teaching experience (X1) and the
ability of teaching the material (X2), asking skill (Y) is Y = 1,286 + 0,414 X1 +
0,114 X2 with dertiminian coefesion is R2 = 0,716
