Study of application the using waste batteries and pencil as the substitution of carbon rods in electrolyte test has done. Hopefully this research can be used as a solution to simplify and ease the cost to conduct experiments testing of the electrolyte solution that presented in class X SMA and MA. In this experiment, the carbon rods of batteries (type AA) and various types of pencil B and H to examine electrolyte properties of the solution like strong electrolytes, weak electrolytes and non-electrolytes. It was found that the carbon rod of waste batteries AA and pencil type 6B within 2 MM 3 mm can be used as a test electrode electrolyte replaces the carbon rod electrodes which are difficult to obtained .
