Nursing care quality supported by the development of theories and conceptual models of nursing. Application of nursing theory in the im-plementation of nursing care will affect the quality of nursing care services. There are various problems that may arise if the patient is in the maladaptive zone. The problems include hypoxia, malnutrition, inadequate physical activity, pressure sores, anxiety, low self-esteem. To describe the practice of the theory of Callista Roy by nurses in the provision of nursing care in a medical-surgical the Hospital personnel Suaka Insan Banjarmasin in 2013. The study design is a drawing application Callista Roy theory by nurses in the provision of nursing care in the medical-surgical area. The population used in this study were all nurses in the medical-surgical area. This study uses the observation sheet evaluation. Univariate analysis of the data using frequency distributions. From the results of this study, 58 nurses in the medical-surgical nursing care at the time of applying 8 assessment items already in the model adaptation aspects of physiology, 4 assessment items in the model adaptation aspects of self-concept, 7 assessment items in the model adaptation aspects of role functioning, and 5 items on the assessment and adaptation model interdependent aspects.
