The purpose of research is to (1) determine the impact of the deve-lopment of a sewage treatment plant to the problem of plastic waste, (2) identify the constraints in the development of plastic waste treatment plant aspects of waste management, and (3) formulate alternative solutions to overcome the obstacles in the development of waste management treatment plant plastic waste in the region Banjarbaru City, Town and City Martapura Banjarmasin. The results showed that (1) the development impact of plastic waste processing plant is a. management and reduction of inorganic waste volume, b. opening of new jobs in the formal and informal sectors; c. inorganic waste management for recycling; d. preservation of the environment. (2) waste production is expected to develop around ± 7.39% per year so that 5 to 6 years required the addition of plastic waste processing plant, (3) is a constraint that happen. lack of fleet size, lack of garbage the number of officers, and a lack of public awareness, b. the lack of equipment that is not in accordance with the amount of urban waste production, c. lack of transport workforce compared with total production of urban waste; d. low level of community participation on future waste disposal. (3) Alternative solutions to overcome obstacles in the development of waste management and waste plastic processing plants, is with a. make arrangements sources of waste and waste services level, b. do the addition and improvement of waste management facilities to support c. perform additional manpower assigned to perform waste mana-gement in urban and d. Socializing and enforce sanctions for violations of the provisions of landfills
