Fever is one problem that is often encountered in caring for and raising children. Approximately 30% -50% of fever caused by upper respiratory infections (ARI), dengue fever, and typhoid fever. The purpose of this study is to describe mothers' knowledge of first treatment of fever in children under five in East Kelayan Health Center on May 2011. Objectives of this study were mothers who carrying children under five come to the Health Center East Kelayan totaling 81 people. The method used is descriptive research which describes the phenomenon that occurs based on the data collected. The results found that respondents who have a good knowledge as much as 35.80%, which has sufficient knowledge and as much as 51.85% of respondents who have less knowledge as much as 12.35%.
