The research aimed at (1) knowing the charateristic of moro kaubun river local sand, Palu broken stone and Tenggarong sand; and (2) measuring the power of concrete pressure yielded from the mixing of moro kaubun river local sand compared to the mixing of Tenggarong sand using Palu broken stone.The research lasted for four months at the Technique Laboratory of Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Samarinda. The research covered : (1) literature review, (2) observation, (3) picking the sample of local sand of Kalimoro Kaubun Sangatta, Palu broken stone, and Tenggarong sand, (4) testing the material at the laboratory, (5) data collection and analysis, and (6) report writing.
Results of the research showed that : (1) the mixing between fine aggregate proportion of Ex. Kaubun 30% and coarse aggregate proportion of Ex.Palu 70% with the concrete quality for K-225 result the concrete pressure power 253.78 kg/cm2 with the deviation standard 26.16; and (2) the mixing between fine aggregate proportion of Ex. Tenggarong 30% and the coarse aggregate proportion of Ex.Palu 70% with the concrete quality for K-225 result the concrete pressure power 376.22 kg/ with the deviation standard 100.68.
