This research is aimed to recognize the relationship between the individual and the organization factors with the commitment of nurses in the organization of Dr. Soedarso Pontianak Local Public Hospital on 2010. This research is a descriptive correlation research with cross sectional program. From the survey and the data analysis of 256 nurses, it has been recognized that the individual factors associated with organizational commitment is the psychological contract (p = 0,000). The organizational factors related to organizational commitment are supervision (p = 0,000) and the job scope (p = 0,000). The factor most associated with the commitment of nurse to the organization is supervision. The organization should be directed to the selection and placement system, and regular monitoring staff that can lead to staff commitment.
