The purpose of this research is in order to know the implementation of
labor rights for woman based on UU Number 39 Year 1999 about Human Rights in
Samarinda and Local Government’s effort toward the discrimination of female
employees based on UU Number 13 Year 2003 about Employment in
Samarinda.The research is held in Samarinda, East Kalimantan for 4 months. The
research uses a normative juridical method (library research) and sociological
juridical or empirical (field work research). Primary and secondary data of result of
this research are analyzed by qualitative normative method.Result of the research
shows that : (1) the implementation of labor rights for woman based on UU Number
39 Year 1999 about Human Rights in Samarinda has been done quite well; and (2)
one of effort that is done by Government of Samarinda is determine the UMK for
labors’s prosperity based on UU Employment Number 13 Year 2003.
