Capital markets including stock trading, forex, bonds, etc. is an
investment vehicle by many people. Gains derived obtained from the difference in
selling price and purchasing. To gain advantage in the capital market requires skills
in seeing a very dynamic market conditions. That caused investors make the
mistake of buying stocks at the wrong moment. Development of a decision support
system that can provide stock assessment is needed to know when the right time to
buy and sell stocks portfolio. This aims to gain profits when the market experienced
an upward trend and minimize losses when the market experienced a decrease
trend. Forms of research conducted by the survey with data collection interviews,
observation and documentation study list of stock analysis, both fundamental and
technical. Software design method used is rapid application development. Problemsolving
approach using heuristic approaches with the sensitivity analysis of what-if
analysis. The systems apply fundamental analysis formula that produces
suggestions to the user whether a stock is worth buying or not, and that produces
technical analysis charts analysis with historical prices of shares used to determine
when the right time to buy and sell stocks portfolio. Through this systems, users can
specify a stock is not eligible for purchase or for long term investment by using
fundamental analysis, and determine when a good time to buy and sell shares using
technical analysis.
